New BISE on the cards

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to set up a new board by the name of `The Shaheed Benazirabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education`.

Sources close to the law department disclosed that for this purpose a bill would be introduced in the Sindh Assembly in its next session to amend the Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1972.

The planned board would facilitate students of the districts of Naushahro Feroze, Sanghar and Shaheed Benazirabad, said the sources.

With the creation of the new board, the number of BISEs in the province will rise to seven. They are: BISEs of Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas and two boards of Karachi.
