Back on Aug 31 last, the worthy assistant commissioner, while performing his duty honestly, visited the government girls college No. 1. To his surprise 92 per cent of the teaching staff were absent from duty.
It is heart-breaking that teachers, who areconsidered role models for students, were found lying to conceal their misconduct.
Moreover, many other teachers have joined hands with them and are demanding the suspension of the present AC.
For what? For honesty? For teachers being corrupt? I would like to say: `If gold rusts, what shall iron do?` I would request the media not to suppress my voice.
