ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday his government was committed to development of Balochistan to bring it on a par with developed areas of the country.

Talking to a group of students from Loralai district of Balochistan at the Prime Minister`s House here, Mr Sharif said that over the years Balochistan had been neglected but now the government would ensure that all children of Balochistan got top quality education.

He said Balochistan was rich in natural resources and had talented youths who could play an important rile to ensure fast-track progress of their province.

He said the nation was proud of its young generation as it would help Pakistan get its rightful place in the comity of nations with honour and dignity. Mr Sharif asked students to focus on their education and listened to their suggestions for promoting education and creating conducive environment for learning in institutions of the province in general and Loralai in particular.

The prime minister announced Rs15 million for the Loralai school to meet its immediate needs.-APP
