LAHORE: Robbers looted cash and jewellery worth Rs2.3 million from a house on Walton Road on Wednesday where a marriage ceremony was going to be held in days to come.

Factory Area police said some robbers including three women stormed the house of Nadeem, held all family members at gunpoint, looted 50-tola gold ornamentsand Rs280,000 cash before escape.

Nadeem told police that the suspects took away jewellery bought for his daughter.

Factory Area Station House Officer Husnain Haider said he didn`t know the exact amount of loss and the complete name of the house owner.

In another incident, two robbers stoppe d Zafar in G-1 Market, Gulberg,and deprived him of Rs1.3 million he had withdrawn from a bank moments before the incident.

Two robbers riding a motorcycle approached Azam in Shafeegabad police remit and snatched from him R s300,000 while as many robbers targeted Haris in Aurangzeb Block in Garden Town police precincts and robbed him of his mobile phone. Staff Reporter
