Army medical camp treats 15,000 patients

MULTAN: A three-day free army medical camp provided treatment to around 15,000 patients in Khokhranwala village in Shujabad tehsil.

According to a handout issued by the Inter Services Public Relations here on Thursday, the medical camp was established on the direction of Multan Corps Commander Lt-Gen Ashfaq Nadeem Ahmed.

It stated that 17 consultants, including child specialist and gynecologist, were the part of the medical camp.

It said that ECGs and minor operations were also conducted at the medical camp. `At least 650 patients were provided free-of-cost laboratory tests and ultrasound facility besides distributing free medicines worth of Rs1.5 million,` it said.

Meanwhile, a two-day eye surgical camp at the Central Jail was concluded here on Thursday. The surgery of 13 prisoners was conducted while 78 spectacles were provided to the needy prisoners.
