BUNER: A vender belonging to Gujar Ghari area of Mardarn district was allegedly shot dead by a customer at a Sunday bazaar here over a petty dispute.

Mohammad Sadiq was selling vegetables at the Sunday Bazaar in busy Swari trade centre when a customer opened indiscriminate fire on him after arguing with him over the price of lemon. The trader died on the spot while the assailant managed to escape.

Gagra police registered a case against unknown killers and started investigation.

Akhtar Hussain, son of the deceased, told police that unknown assailants came to the stall of his father before Iftar and bought lemon worth Rs50, but did not pay the money.

He said his father chased them to return lemons or make payment but the accused instead resorted to firing on him as a result he was killed on the spot.-Correspondent
