DERA GHAZI KHAN: District police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested nine suspects during a swoop on seminaries and Imambargahs of the district.

Sources told Dawn that police registered three cases against the suspects.

District Police Officer Ghulam Mubashar Maikin said the campaign had been launched under the National Action Plan (NAP). He said police arrested suspects and confiscated huge quantity of sectarian hate material.

He said two cases were registered against as many people for sectarian graffiti while seven other suspects were arrested during a search operation.

The cases were registered by Gadai and city police stations.

Meanwhile, Rajanpur DPO Zahid Mehmood Gndal said 13 seminaries had been cleared as no objectionable material was found.Correspondent
