LAHORE: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Punjab Assembly has expressed concern at nonutilisation of Punjab Teachers Foundation funds for the last five years.

A PAC meeting held here on Tuesdaywithoppositionleader Mian Mahmoodur Rashid in the chair was irked to learn that not a single penny of over Rs100 million fund could be spent on any project for teachers` welfare, mainly because rules of the Foundation had not yet been notified.

The Foundation was formed in 2009 for executing teachers` welfare projects.

Taking notice of the situation, Mr Rashid directed the schools education secretary to frame the Foundation rules and settle other related issues within three months and report to the PAC.
