Educated youth real asset of PTI, says Khattak

NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Monday that there was a world of difference between the thinking of traditional politicians and the educated youth as the latter were a real asset of PTI and brightfuture ofPakistan.

He was addressing functions at Tangi Khattak and Manki Sharif, where scores of political activists announced joining the PTI.

Mr Khattak said the young generation supported PTI for bringing about change in the outdated system. `The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insafled provincial government laid solid foundations for a stable and prosperous Pakistan through reformation of the system as per expectations of the youth,` he maintained.

He said Pakistan was replete with precious natural resources but the reason of the country`s lagging behind in development was corruption in the system that must be eradicated.

He said his government had ensured supremacy of merit in the province because prosperity without merit was impossible. He said the government had brought about practical reforms in all sectors and ensured transparency at all levels.

He claimed that a system had been established that could ensure provision of due rights to all the deserving people.

The chief minister said the process of standardisation and upgradation of schools across the province was almost complete. All required facilities were being provided to the poor children for quality education.

A network of schools, colleges and universities is being spread in nookand corner of the province both for male and female students, he explained.

Similarly, he said independent monitoring unit had been set up to ensure attendance of both teachers and students that had started yielding positive results. He said similar was case with the health sector wherein historical steps were taken to improve healthcare in hospitals and health centres both in rural and urban areas.

He said sincere efforts were also made to rid the police and revenue departments of corruption and political intervention. He said the doors of corruption and nepotism were closed now.

The chief minister asked the youth to play due role in harvesting real f ruits of these reforms and make the process of change durable. He said the KP government had made record legislation to facilitate the masses to the maximum.

Mr Khattak said Pakistan needed a transparent and solid system to ensure its standing in the ranks of developed countries for which its institutions must be strengthened.

He asked the people to keep vigilance on their surroundings and check all development process. The chief minister assured that the PTIled government would not let any individual to usurp rights of the people. He said there would be no compromise on quality and transparency in the development works.

He said PTI government had introduced a new culture of transparent and good governance and its continuation was essential for overall national progress and prosperity.

The gatherings were also addressed by district nazim Liaqat Khattak,naib nazim Ashfaq Khattak and otherlocalleaders.
