By Our Correspondent 2015-10-12
KHAR: The teachers of Government Degree College for Girls, Khar, have complained that their hostel is without drinking water and electricity for the last several weeks.

The female teachers who opted not to be named told Dawn on Sunday that lack of basic facilities in the hostel had been affecting their routine life and teaching efficiency. They said that a number of non-local teachers were living in the hostel.

They said that they were determined to perform their job with honesty, but absence of basic needs had been affecting their mission.

They criticised the government for not taking interest in solution of their problems. The teachers claimed that the college principal was also not cooperating with them to resolve their issues. The female teachers said that they were fed up with the situation and most of their colleagues were trying to get themselves transferred from the agency.

They have appealed to the governor and additional chief secretary Fata to ensure provision of basic facilities in the hostel.
