R E S I G N A T I O N S DEMANDED: The Tehreek-i-Suba Hazara has asked MPAs from Hazara to resign over failure to plead the case of Hazara province in the assembly.

`The people like Pervez Khattak are against any sort of development and prosperity in Hazara and therefore, we want a separate federating unit for us, TSH convener Mushtaq Khan told reporters here on Tuesday.

Mr. Mushtaq said the TSH was not opposed to development in any part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but mega projects proposed for Hazara didn`t sit well with the political parties opposing the creation of Hazara province.

He said MPAs from Hazara division should tender resignations from the provincial assembly over the adoption of a resolution `discriminating` against their region over the China-Pakistan EconomicCorridor project.

The TSH convener said the proposed Hasanabdal-China motorway had been a natural route for centuries so China wanted to develop it as the shortest possible route under the multibillion dollar CPEC project.

TSH vice president Iqbal Khan Swati, who was also in attendance, said the repeated injustices against Hazara had led to the start of movement for the creation of a separate province for the division.

`The creation of Hazara province is inevitable. The federal government should adopt a resolution in the National Assembly favouring the status of a province for Hazara,` he said.

He said the people of Hazara had never directly or indirectly opposed development projects proposed for other parts of the country including KP under the CPEC project, so the PTI government should stop discriminating against the division and thus, ensuring its development. Correspondent
