RAWALPINDI: The PunjabMetroBus Authority on Tuesday announced its decision to stop the metro bus service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Ashura due to security reasons.

The elevated road of the bus service will be used by the law enforcement agencies to monitor the Ashura procession as it will pass through Murree Road from Naz Cinema to Committee Chowk.

On the other hand, the provincial government has put three government-run hospitals in the garrison city on alert and asked to make arrangements of 40 beds for emergency situation.

The Health Department has directed the allied hospitals to arrange lifesaving drugs, blood bags, and allocate 30 to 40 beds in each of the three hospitals to deal with emergency and also cancelled the vacations of the doctors working in emergency departments of the hospitals. A Reporter
