NOWSHERA, Nov 11: Provincial Minister for Information Shah Farman visited Darul Uloom-iHaqqania, Akora Khattak, to get support of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-S in the proposed agitation of his party against Nato supply to Afghanistan via Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He met with JUI-S central deputy secretary Hamidul Haq Haqqani and provincial chief Maulana Mohammad Yousaf Shah and discussed with them the issue of Nato supply.
Sources said that JUI-S leaders ex-tended full support to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in blocking the Nato supply through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They also condemned the recent drone attack that killed Pakistani Taliban chief Hakeemullah Mehsud and sabotaged the process of peace talks.
Hamidul Haq told this correspondent that they also decided that provincial leaders of both political parties would hold a meeting soon to chalk out a joint strategy for local government elections in KhyberPakhtunkhwa.
TEACHERS: The local chapter of Malgari Ustazan (MU), the teacher wing of Awami National Party, has appealed to Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to take notice of political interference in education department in the district.
In this connection a meeting of Malgari Ustazan was held here on Monday at Primary School No.1 that was attended by its president district Naheed Khan, general secretary Lal Badshah, senior vice presidentIbadullah, tehsil presidents Waqarul Mulk and Dilawar Khan and other teachers.
The teacher leaders appealed to PTI chairman Imran Khan to take notice of political meddling in education department. They said that PTI had promised with people that it would stop political interference in education department. The MU leaders threatened to launch a protest movement if the chief minister failed to stop political interference in education department.
