Students compete in 32 events at Punjab games

LAHORE: Students contested in 32 disciplines on the third day of 6th Punjab Inter-School, InterCollegiate Games 2015 being held at Punjab Football Stadium here on Wednesday.

In the intercollegiate athletics championship for boys, Arsalan Saeed of Punjab College covered 100 metres in 11.06 seconds, followed by Farooq Ahmad of Government College University in 11.08 seconds and Sarim Durrani of The City School in 11.50 seconds.

Among the girls in 100 metres race, Muneeba Shakoor of Lahore College University took 14.74 seconds to cross the Enishline, followed by Kulsoom Imtiaz of Islamia College Cantt (15.14 sec) and Maimoona of Hamza Foundation (16.37 sec).

In the interschool athletics championship for boys, Faaiz Mansoor of Ibne Sina remained first in 100 metres with 11.67 seconds, while Imtiaz Gul of The City School second with 11.87 seconds and Raja Saif, also of The City School, third with 11.90 seconds.

Faryal of Adbistan-iSofia clinched the first position among girls in the 100 metres race with 14.84 seconds, followed by Amna Riaz of Beaconhouse School System (15.16 sec) and Ramla Sokarno of Unique School System (15.19 sec).

The concluding session of the games would be held on Thursday (today).
