LAHORE: An advocate filed a petition in the Lahore High Court on Friday saying a strict action should be taken against young doctors for observing protests and denying health services to even critical patients at public hospitals.

Advocate Najaf Abbas Shah pleads in his publicinterest petition that a handful of young doctors have been on strike for many days causing suspension of health facilities at the hospitals.

He says not only the patients at the hospitals but citizens on roads have also been facing severe problems due to doctors` protests.

Advocate Shah argues that the law does not permit the doctors to refuse medical facility to any patient.
