Unified education system in KP from March, says CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has announced the abolition of class-based education system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from coming March and introduction of unified academic system across the province.
He made the announcement while addressing a gathering on the occasion of joining of Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf by ex-nazim union council, Jati Pind, Haripur, Ejaz Khan and his supporters.
The chief minister asked the PTI workers to start preparation for lo-cal government elections under which a system of empowering people at grass roots was being introduced. He said that the PTI had made the commitment of brining change in system in general elections and this could not be brought with the cementing of streets, construction of drains, roads, bridges, hospitals and schools, according to a handout issued here.
He said that change would come when the people would get rid of the rotten and outdated system of the loot and plunder, exploitation and injustices. For this purpose, he said the elimination of difference between rich and poor was a must.
He said that the first big difference was the class-based education system for abolition of which they had completed homework and from the upcoming academic year this system would be abolished to introduce unified education system forboth rich and poor of the province.
Mr Khattak said that the measure would be a foundation for real and peaceful revolution in the society. He said that in past the classbased education system was introduced through a well-planned conspiracy to exploit millions of people of the country.
He said that in the LG elections to be held in March-April they would introduce a local government system where all powers/resources and funds would be handed over to the representatives of village councils and all public sector departments would be answerable to them.
He urged the people not to bribe any government employee or officer for their genuine rights and in case of any harassment or demand they should immediately contact the chief minister complaint cell where the grievance of the affectedapplicants would be redressed and the corrupt officer would meet his ultimate fate.
The chief minister said that people had felt change in police, patwar, hospital, school and some other departments and in the next few months they would witness more positive changes.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan was determined for the elimination of corruption and injustice from the society. He said that they would never back off from their electoral commitments.
Ejaz Khan told the gathering that he was impressed by the active leadership of Imran Khan and that was why he was joining the PTI. Party`s provincial president Azam Swati, general secretary Khalid Masood, CM`s adviser Jamshiduddin, district president Kamal Ghaznavi and former minister Yousaf Ayub were also present on the occasion.
