Telecom operator to promote charity initiatives

LAHORE: A telecom operator will provide free media space to three individual initiatives Operation Eid Child, Dewar-iMeharbani (wall of kindness) and Khana Ghar enabling them to reach out to the masses.

Under Operation Eid Child initiative, a box of gif ts (comprising even old toys and other such stuff), will be offered to a less privileged child.

Under the second initiative Wall of Kindness -all the people have to do is to place anything they want to donate clothes, shoes, nonperishable food along a wall, to be collected by the needy.

The third, Khana Ghar, seeks to provide daily food for the needy throughout the year at a token price of Rs3 only to promote one of the core values of Ramazan, sharing food with those in need.

`The telecom industry is generally seen as spending substantially on its own media advertising, brand promotions and celebrity endorsements, but with our Ramazan 2016 campaign we have changed the paradigm by providing media projection to relatively small but highly effective initiatives, said Rainer Rathgeber, CEO of Ufone.
