SAHIWAL: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)de-seatedPTIMNARai Hasan Nawaz from his NA-162 (Chichawatni) seat and announced by-polls on July 19.

The ECP announced bypolls on NA-162 on the direction of the Supreme Court.

The SC disqualified the PTI MNA for concealing his financial assets and details of unpaid loans to commercial banks during the 2013 general elections.It is learnt that a public notice for by-polls will be issued on June 15, scrutiny of candidates` nomination papers will be done on June 22-23, appeals will be heard and decided on June 25 while a final list of candidates will be displayed on June 28.

Rai Hasan Nawaz was the only PTI candidates who had won in the Sahiwal district while the rest of three seats were won by PML-N candidates. Correspondent
