LAHORE: A labourer was shot dead by two unidentified motorcyclists near the Lahore railway station on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Rana Nazim, 33, a resident of Kot Khwaja Saeed.
A CCTV footage of the incident showed the motorcyclists were standing outside the railway warehouse.
After some time, Nazim, whoused to load cargo in trains, came out of the warehouse and one of the motorcyclists approached him. He had a brief chat with Nazim before pulling out a gun and opening fire on him. Nazim died on the spot.
Railway police reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to morgue.
Railway SHO AbdulJabbar Khan said initial investigation revealed that Nazim was called by someone by phone to come outside his workplace.
He said it seemed Nazim was killed over some monetary dispute, adding that a case was registered against the unidentified persons on the complaint of the victim`s wife.
