LANDI KOTAL, Nov 12: A khasadar was critically injured when an improvised explosive device planted along a roadside exploded here on Tuesday.
Confirming the incident, assistant political agent Tayyab Abdullah said the explosion caused fatal injuries to Hussain Khan who was guarding the main Peshawar-Torkhum road in Sultan Khel area along with other khasadar personnel.
He said that the injured khasadar was shifted to Peshawar hospital. Mr Abdullah said that they recovered another IED during a search operation launched after the blast.
`The second device was planted 10 meters away from the blast and was safely defused by the khasadar force,` he added.
OUTLAWS ARRESTED: Khasadar force apprehended six outlaws during a raid in Jamrud, officials said.
They said the raid was conducted on a house in Ghundi area which was used as a hideout by an organised gang of car lifters and kidnappers.
Six members of a car-lifters gang were arrested while parts of a stolen Pajero jeep were also recovered, officials said.
They added that the arrested men were involved in a number of car lifting and abduction for ransom cases and were also wanted to the local political administration.
