RECENTLY a science fair and competition was held in Government Comprehensive Higher Secondary School, Dhok Kashmirlan, Rawalpindi, in collaboration with a non-profit organisation.
The science models displayed there were proof of students` creativity and teachers` hard work. MPA Qamarul Islam Raja and Senator Nejma Hameed also visited the school.
Government schools have a complete infrastructure that private schools do not have and cannot have. The thing which needs attention is the quality of education.
Our small efforts can make a huge difference as these are our institutions the nation`s institutions, institutions of the poor.
They need our attention. We as a community should pay attention to our future.
The government should allocate more funds for education, while the media should highlight the importance of government schools.
