LAHORE: The Government College University`s (GCU) new campus over 350 acres at Kala Shah Kaku is likely to be functional in three years.

Work has begun with a grant by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).`The GCU has started development work at its Kala Shah Kaku campus with the HEC`s first tranche of Rs250 million. This financial year, we are also expecting Rs150m from the HEC to construct two academic blocks and as many hostels at the new campus,` GCU spokesman Musadiq Sultan told Dawn on Sunday.
