UPPER DIR: Awami National Party provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has criticised the federal government for not giving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa its due share in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

He was addressing a workers convention of ANP in PK-91 of Upper Dir chapter in Darora. Provincial vice-president Javid Yousufzai, former MPA Shazia Aurangzeb and Upper Dir president Ameer Zaman were also present on the occasion.

Mr Hoti said that the federal government had changed the original plan of route of CPEC and the project was diverted to Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that ANP would not accept any other plan of the CEPC route except the initial one of the western route.

He said that after many sacrifices of the ANP activists they had restored the government’s writ in Swat. He said that KP was facing financial crunch due to failure of the provincial government.

The ANP president criticised PTI chief Imran Khan for not holding any protest for the rights of KP people, especially its due share in CPEC. He said that Jamaat-i-Islami got vote in the name of Islam, but after election its members did not talk of Islam in the assemblies.
