Policeman kills woman

TAXILA: Three people were killed in separate incidents in the limits of Fatehjang and Taxila police stations on Friday.

A woman was allegedly shot dead by an ASI in the limits of Fathejang police.

Police sources said that the ASI was posted at the city police station and had developed `friendship` with the woman.

On Friday, both had had some heated argument over some issue and the policeman shot her dead and fled.

Police have registered a murder case against the accused and started further investigation.

Besides, RPO Fakhar Sulatn Raja has suspended the cop and ordered a departmental inquiry against him.

Separately, a train ran over a man in Taxila Police station limits on Sunday.

Mohammad Sadiq, 55, a resident of Khanpur, was crossing railway line when he was hit by Awam express and died on the spot.

Mohamamd Arif, a worker of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), was crushed to death on IslamabadPeshawar motorway (M-1) by a speeding car when he was busy in maintenance work along the road.
