SHANGLA: Six people were killed when a car fell into a ravine in Bisham on Saturday.

An official at Bisham police station said the driver of the car with six persons on board lost control over the steering while engaging in a race with two other vehicles on the Karakoram Highway, plunging the vehicle into a ravine near Khwagay Oba area.

As a result, four people were killed on the spot and two others were injured.

Local police and people rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies and the injured and shifted them to tehsil headquarters hospital, Bisham.

Sources said the two injured men also succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

The dead were identified as Mujtaba, Wakil, Mohammad Nabi, Javed, lhsanullah and Rahim Dad.

The police registered the case and started further investigations.
