INMOL event concludes

LAHORE: On the second and last day of a conference at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Oncology (INMOL), more than 10 lectures were delivered and many research papers presented, says a press release.

A session on thyroid cancer was organised early in the morning.

Experts from Hungary, China, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arab and Kuwait delivered lectures on various diseases.

Dr Fayyaz Ahmad, Director Medical Sciences, Dr Abu Bakar Shahid, Director INMOL, Prof Areesha Zaman, Dr Irfan Khan and Dr Mahdi Raza chaired sessions.

Dr Hamid Naseer and Dr Muhammad Numair Younis thanked the conference participants for their keen interest.

He said a number of trainee doctors benefited from these lectures and research papers.

Dr Humayun Bashir, President PSNM, emphasised the need for more Nuclear Medicine training facilities under the CPSP.

Dr Numair Younis stressed that for promotion of Nuclear Medicine, regulatory fee, taxes and duties may be reduced so that expensive equipment can beimported.

Dr Yaming Li, president Chinese Nuclear Medicine Society, thanked the Pakistan Nuclear Medicine Society for organising such a conference which, he said, must be helpful for young doctors.
