LANDI KOTAL: A Levies man was critically injured when unidentified gunmen attacked him in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency here on Monday evening.

Confirming the attack, local officials said that 32-year-old Rehman Gul was on his way home in Sur Kamar locality at around 8.15pm after performing his official duty when he was fired at by unknown assailants. He suffered critical injuries. The attackers managed to flee after the attack. Khasadar and FC personnel reached the spot immediately after the incident and conducted a search operation in the locality. Reason behind the attack could not be immediately known, but officials suspected that it was a targeted attack.—Correspondent
