They are the unsung heroes who bring a new life to the sick and injured. Although the International Nurses Day on May 12 has just passed , let`s acknowledge the hard work, long-shift hours and emotional pressure the nurses go through in their daily routine.
Nurses Day was first proposed by Dorothy Sutherland, an official with the US Department of Health, Education and Welfare. International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 to mark the birth anniversary ofFlorence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This year`s theme is `Nursing a voice` to lead achieving the sustainable development of goals.
