Private school fee

2017-05-17
THIS refers to the yearly increase in private school fees. With the mushroom growth in private schools, parents prefer sending their children to these institutions instead of government-run schools.

The private schools doprovide agood education but the fee they charge is exorbitant. This puts a financial burden on parents.

If a parent earns up to Rs50,000 on an average, the largest chunk of his salary goes to private schools, which charge anything between Rs5,000 and Rs10,000 per month as fees. This trend might increase the dropout ratio, which can lead to a decrease in literacy rate.

Education has now become a business which is sucking the life and soul out of parents. The government must take long-term measures to stop this practice.
