LAHORE: Former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar believes that by producing the Qatar prince`s letter in the Supreme Court the prime minister has created legal problems for himself in the Panama case.

Speaking at a ceremony here on Wednesday, she said the prime minister had stated something else in the parliament about London flats and adopted a different stance before the five-member apex court bench that is hearing the Panama leaks case.

And by producing a letter from a member of the Qatar`s royal family, she said, the prime minister had got complicated his case and created legal problems for himself.

Referring to the repeated change of stance by the Sharifs about the London property, she said people could not be fooled for long.

She contested the ruling PML-N`s claims about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (C-PEC) and said that the project had indeed been initiated by the PPP government.

The former foreign minister did not expect a major shift in the American foreign policy after Trump`s election.
