KHAIRPUR: A man was killed and 12 others were injured when a van overturned on the Mehran National Highway near Bandhi on Tuesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control over the vehicle when he tried to avoid a head-on collision with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

A passenger Dhani Bux Khoso died while the injured identified as Dhani Bux Khoso, Sikandar Bhatti, Abdul Jabbar Noonari, Abdul Hameed Lashari, Mohammad Hashim Banglani, Behram Khan, Arsalan, Mohammad Ismail Shambhani, Gul Hassan Sabhayo, Bahadur Bugti, Mumtaz Sarki and Ustad Abdullah Noonari were taken to Rural Health Centre, Pakka Chang. Ismail, Behram Khan and Dhani Bux who were being taken to a Nawabshah hospital in an ambulance when Dhani Bux died on the way.
