LAHORE: Inspector General of Punjab Police Mushtaq Sukhera said on Friday 387 search and combing operations were conducted all over the province during the lastfour days.
Chairing a video-link RPOs and DPOs conference at the Central Police Ofhce here, he said during these operations 22,379 people were checked and cases were registered against 92 under the foreign act, tenant act, possession of illegal arms and narcotics.
`The police of ficers have been directed to revise security plans for the markets, parks, educational institutes, shrines, worship places and important installments in all districts of Punjab to ensure foolproof security, ` a handout quoted the IG as saysing.
Additional IGP Operations/Investigations Capt (R) Arif Nawaz, DIG Operations Punjab Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, AIG Operations Punjab Waqar Abbassi and other officers were also present in the meeting.
IGP said the morale of the Punjab Police was higher than ever and the force would not hesitate to sacrifice their lives in future as well to protect the lives, honor and properties of citizens.-Staf f Reporter
