LAHORE: Justice Khwaja Imtiaz Ahmad took oath as chief justice of the Lahore High Court at a ceremony held here on Tuesday.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered the oath to Justice Ahmad.

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Iqbal, provincial ministers, judges of the high court and lawyers.

After the ceremony, the chief minister congratulated Justice Ahmad on taking oath as the LHC CJ.
