KARACHI: A 25-year-old man was shot dead and his elder brother injured in the Korangi area late on Wednesday.

According to police, Babar Iqbal and his brother Shahid were going home on a motorbike when two men on a motorcycle intercepted them near Vita Chowrangi and sped away af ter firing at them.

`The firing left both brothers injured, Korangi Police Station SHO Inspector Abdul Majeed said. `Babar died in hospital, while his brother`s condition is critical. It appears to be a robbery attempt, but investigations are under way.`-Staff Reporter
