COURT MOVED: The Lahore High Court has been requested to order a judicial inquiry into incorrect results of the intermediate examination for the current aca-demic year.

An intermediate student, Palwasha Khan, filed a writ petition through Advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhry and questioned the `gross negligence` of Lahore education board in preparation of incorrect results.

The petitioner stated that future of thousands of students had been put at stake due to inefficiency of the board as massive discrepancies and errors were found in examining the papers.

She said the students were being asked by their respective college administrations to pay Rs700 each for getting their attempted papers rechecked.

The petitioner pleaded that the situation needed a thorough probe through a judicial commission to fix the responsibility of the negligence on part of the authorities.
