PRIME Minister Nawaz Sharif announced a Rs1 billion grant for Islamia College during his visit to Peshawar.
He should know that thousands of other educational institutions lack basic facilitieswhich should be provided instead of spending huge sums on one institution because of its strong historical background.
The government must prioritise education across the board. All schools, colleges and universities should be provided funds yearly.
The country will only move towards development if education is standardised.
