MULTAN: Four people, including two children, were injured here on Wednesday after one of them pulled out the pin of a grenade they allegedly found on a canal bank in Sameejabad.

According to City SP Khalid Rauf, Muhammad Umer, 22, H amza, 13, Waqas, 13, and Rabnawaz, 18, found a grenade lying near the bank of Naubahar canal.

Theybrought the grenade to a plot near Union Council office where one of them pulled out its pin, resulting in an explosion injuring all of them.

Police and Rescue1122 teams reaching the spot shiftedtheinjuredtoNishtar Hospital for treatment.

Following the incident security personnel cordoned off the area to conduct a search operation.

The bomb disposal squad was also called to meet any further eventuality.
