LAHORE: A sessions court judge acquitted on Wednesday a fashion model of kidnapping a woman coworker.

Wahdat Colony police had registered a case against model Khaula, alias Sidra Awan, for kidnapping Abeera in 2014.

The brother of Abeera was complainant in the case.

The investigating officer said that Sidra was found innocent in investigation and the police would not contest her acquittal.

In the light of police report, Additional District and Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ali Qamar acquitted Sidra of charges.

Abeera was later killed and her body was found in a suitcase abandoned at a bus stand of Sherakot in February.
