LAHORE: A delegation of the Christian community comprising Bishops and Fathers called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday and discussed Yohanabad tragedy and the lynching incident.

Mr Sharif described terrorism, extremism and sectarianism as bane of the country.

The leaders of the Christian community appreciated the chief minister`sefforts for resolving their problems and extending every supportin the hour of difficulty.

They condemned ransacking in the garb of protest and wished that those involved in the incident should be punished as no patriotic person could favour violent protests.

The participants observed one-minute silence for those who lost their lives in the Yohanabad tragedy and expressed their solidarity by holding each other`s hands.
