KARAK: Unidentified assailants shot dead three persons in Sabirabad area here on the night between Sunday and Monday.

The police said on Monday that the victims were going on a motorcycle after attending a wedding ceremony in Kabeer Kalay area when they came under attack.

The dead were identified as Fazal Rabi alias Batair, Niaz Mohammad and Naeemullah.

The police claimed that Fazal Rabi was a proclaimed offender and was wanted to police in different crimes.

The relatives of the deceased registered an FIR in Sabirabad police station against accused Mosam Khan, Shah Zaman, Majid, Zarmat Khan, Mohammad Zaman, Sadiq, Akhter Zaman and two others.

The police claimed that the two groups had been running an old enmity.
