SHEIKHUPURA: An eight-year-old boy who had allegedly been kidnapped on Tuesday night in Fazalpura locality near Kot Abdul Malik was found dead in an under-construction house on Wednesday.

Reports said Israr of the same locality kidnapped Talha and demanded Rs1 million ransom from his father, Liaquat, who could not arrange the amount.

On Wednesday, Talha was found dead in an under-construction house.

Police are looking into the matter.

EX-SHO BOOKED:Nankana police on Wednesday registered a case against its ex-SHO Maulvi Abdul Khaliq, SI Rana Saeed and four other police officials for allegedly torturing to death a suspected thief at a private cell.

Five days ago, police had taken Nadeem into custody due to his alleged involvement in a theft case. The former SHO, SI and four constables allegedly tortured him to death during investigation.

Meanwhile, victim`s family and residents of the area protested in front of the DPO office and demanded arrest of the police officials.

The DPO has constituted a team to arrest the suspects.
