KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Saturday claimed to have detained seven suspects belonging to political parties and seized arms and ammunition from their possession.
These arrests were made in raids in different parts of the city.
The paramilitary force conducted targeted raids in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Malir, Manghopir, Shah Faisal Colony and Quaidabad, said a Rangers spokesperson.
He added that during these raids, seven suspects affiliated with political parties had been arrested and weapons seized from them.
The spokesperson did not disclose the identity of the held suspects, nor the names of the parties.
In another raid in the Nazimabad and Defence areas, three small machine guns and a huge amount of ammunition were seized and a suspect was arrested.
Again the Rangers official did not disclose the exact location from where the arms cache was seized, nor did he identify the suspect and his affiliation with any group.
