`NTS-qualified teachers to be regularised in a week`

SHANGLA: Special assistant to the chief minister on tourism Haji Abdul Munim has assured the teachers having qualified the NT S of regularisation within a week.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of an information technology lab at government high school, Karora, here on Monday.

District education officer Nisar Mohammad Khan, local government members, parents and notables were presentonthe occasion.

MPA Munim said the provincial government had decided to regularise the recently-appointed teachers who had qualified the NTS.

He said more IT labs would be established in Shangla.

`The provincial government has brought reforms in the education sector as today teachers are performing their duties instead of receiving salaries in their houses,` he claimed.

Thelawmakerannounced a primary school for the area and also assured the locals that the existing government high school would be upgraded to higher secondary school.

Later, he gave away Rs50,000 cheque to the school principal for carrying out maintenance work in the building.
