KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have killed seven suspected militants in an `encounter` on the outskirts of Karachi late on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for the paramilitary force said that Rangers had conducted a raid in Shah L atif Town on intelligence report about the presence of `hardcore terrorists` there.

The suspects opened fire on the raiding team from their hideout. During an exchange of fire, seven `terrorists` were killed,whileoneRangersmanwasinjured.-Staff Reporter
