Three held for selling drugs to school students

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has claimed to have arrested three members of a gang allegedly involved in supplying drugs in educational institutions in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

An ANF spokesman said its personnel, acting on a tip-off, launched anoperation and apprehended three accused, Habibullah, Bilal Suleman and Zeeshan Tariq. The three were in possession of 640 grams of charas, 85 grams of amphetamine and ecstasy tablets. Habibullah was arrested from F-11 Markaz with 380 grams of charas.

He was allegedly involved in supplying drugs in private schools in F-10 and F-11 sectors. Bilal Suleman is accused of supplying drugs in F-10/4 and F-11sectors while Zeeshan Tariq of selling ecstasy pills to students in schools in DH A, PWD and Bahria Town.

The ANF also carried out 11 other operations in various cities which resulted in the recovery of 532kg of charas, 45kg of opium, 3kg of heroin, 1kg of amphetamine and 48,000 psychotropic tablets. It rounded up 13 suspects, two of them women, and seized three vehicles.
