BISEs announce Class IX results

LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Saturday announced results of Class IX annual exams. The pass percentage of the candidates remained 54.21.

According to Lahore BISE Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, 137,530 of the total 253,692 passed the exams.

`We congratulate all, especially those who cleared the exams with good marks,` the chairman said while speaking to the result announcement/ceremony.

In Bahawalpur, out of total 87,985 students, 42,621 were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 51.56.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, the pass percentage remained 55.40pc.

Talking to Dawn, Dera Ghazi Sheikh BISE deputy controller of exam Amjad said 79,386 candidates had participated in the exam and 43,982 of them were declared successful.

He said 66,273 students were regular while 13,113 sat the exam as private candidates.

In Sahiwal, 75,430 students had appeared in the exam and 40,134 of them were declared successful with a percentage of 53.

The pass percentage in science group was 64 for girls and 52pc for boys while in the arts group, the pass percentage among the girls was 53pc while it was 26pc for boys.

According to APP, in Multan a total of 114,675 candidates appeared in the exams out of whom, 67,004 were declared successful.

The pass percentage remained 58.42pc.

Among to details, 97,568 of the students belonged to science group while 17,107 were from arts group. In science group, the pass percentage remained 59.86pc and it was 50.67pc in arts group.

In Sargodha, a total of 93,576 candidates appeared in the examinations, out of whom 52,325 succeeded with a pass percentage of 55.92pc.
