Construction of FC school, hostel in Qila Saifullah launched

QUETTA: Frontier Corps, Balochistan, Inspector General Maj Gen Sher Afgun, laid the foundation-stone of FC Public School and Hostel in Qila Saifullah district on Wednesday.

Addressing the ceremony, he said that the Frontier Corps had been playing a vital role to improve law and order and to provide better education and medical facilities in several areas of Balochistan.

`We have snatched weapons f rom the youth of Balochistan and given pen in their hands,` hesaid, adding that the development of the country and the nation depended on the provision of skilled, developed and educated persons which could be achieved through promoting education.

He said that the FC had been giving attention to providing maximum educational facilities in the farnungareasoftheprovince.

Presently, the FC chief said, 53 schools, seven colleges and nine hostels have been working under the FC with the aim to improve education standards in the far-flung areas while FC was also extending assistance in the health sector.He said that FC Public School in Qila Saifullah would provide better education facilities to the local children and also enhance education standard.

Provincial Minister for Revenue and Transport Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, Brig Nadeem Sohail, Commandant Qila Saifullah Scouts, Col Hamid, Commander Zhob Militia Col Rehan Satti, tribal elders, students and officials of the local administration were present on the occasion.

Maj Gen Sher Afgun also laid the foundation stone of Public Park in Zhob that would provide better recreational facilities to the people.
