I WOULD like to draw the authorities` attention towards a very serious issue. It has been reported that Careem and Uber drivers are harassing female passengers.
Careem and Uber are online taxi booking services recently introduced in Pakistan.
There have been numerous cases reported in Karachi and Lahore where the drivers harassed female passengers. Some of the women said the cab drivers sent inappropriate text messages.
The protection and security of passengers is the responsibility of the taxi booking services. Therefore they should take stern action.
