Arms cache seized in Orangi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Wednesday claimed to have seized an arms cache in Orangi Town near an office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, according to the spokesperson of the paramilitary force.

The Rangers acting on a tip-off provided by an intelligence agency conducted a targeted raid on a shop near the MQM of fice in Sector 1-A and uncovered the huge quantity of arms and ammunition hidden in the shop.

The seized arms included 10 RPG-7, 12 RPG-7 Premier, three SMGs, three 8mm rines, a 22-bore rine, a 30-bore rifle, a 30-mouser, a 12-bore repeater, three 30-bore pistols and thousands of bullets.

The spokesperson alleged that the militants belonging to the MQM had hidden these weapons to create chaos andtriggerviolencein the metropolis.
