Under the prime minister educational reforms package, the FDE run schools and colleges will be given 200 buses in two phases. In first phase, the FDE will be provided 70 buses and the Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) had in this regard placed an order to a firm a few months ago.

`Today, we got first fleet of five buses, in coming days we will get five more buses and then we will get 10 buses on monthly basis as company is unable to supply 70 buses in one go,` said director administration, FDE retired Major Abdul Waheed.

He said that FDE had also started hiring 70 drivers.

`Through ads, we have called applications from the potential candidates, soon we will complete the hiring process,` he said.

There are 422 educational institutions in Islamabad being run by the FDE, but only few institutions have the transport facility.
